BEAT The Number One Cancer Killer
Cancer is the leading cause of death in patients 80 years of age. There are more than 1.5 million new cases of cancer from any source in the U.S. yearly. Lung cancer, along with being the number one cancer killer in men in the past 10 years, is also the number one cancer killer in women, surpassing breast cancer previously in that category.
In 2010 there were 81,000 deaths in men, representing 31% of all male cancer deaths and 76,000 deaths in women, representing 26% of all female cancer deaths. In fact death from lung cancer surpasses deaths from breast, colon, and prostate cancer combined.
At present, Century Wellness Clinic is using chemosensitivity testing called “biomarkers” to determine which drugs are most effective.
This new continually improving subspecialty of Integrative Oncology has gained recognition in part because of the dismal failure of conventional oncology. Through its own literature, Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2004, allopathic medical oncology is reporting a 2.1% survivorship, Stage IV adult cancers, after five years of chemotherapy.
Outcome based protocols recording survivorship in my own studies show a 23% greater response rate in my lastest 5 year – 500 patient study.
At most large university cancer centers a newly diagnosed patient with non-small cell lung cancer would be blindly prescribed a platinum agent, a taxane agent and also an avastin and anti-angiogenesis agent.
It is important to remember that lung cancers are divided into two main categories:
- Small cell cancers and
- Non-small cell cancers (squamous cell, large cell adenocarcinoma, bronchioalveolar and mesotheliomas).
Strictly speaking mesotheliomas arise on the surface lining of the lungs or on the inner linings of the chest cavity.
The standard protocols for any types of lung cancers are based on “Big Pharma” drugs and no mention is ever included in these protocols to include dietary, supplemental, and bio-oxidative or pH balancing. Likewise, political and economic forces in the U.S. and other countries suppress news favorable to complementary therapies.
Could the reason be that the partners of “Big Pharma” – the Federal Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute will not allow changes in this malfunctioning system? The answer is simple, the economics of the present system trump the science of integrative medicine and the financial rewards are so great that there are enormous pressures to maintain the “status quo”.
In the past forty years since President Nixon declared “the war on cancer”, the war on cancer has all but been lost. The findings are in the proof when researching the medical literature. There is an increase in the numbers of cancer deaths and the dismal out-comes. These results mute any claims for victory.
The use of chemosensitivity testing followed by insulin potentiated therapy (IPT) has been the biggest success in treatment to occur in the last 60 years, but is still not widely recognized by conventional practitioners.
Century Wellness Clinic’s up-dated June 2010-September 2012, 400 patients, 27 month study on all adult cancers has yielded an impressive 72% response rate in survivorship. The study is on-going with investigations on integrative oncology treatments using chemo-sensitivity (CST) and insulin potentiated therapy (IPT) on all adult cancers.
In addition to identifying the correct drugs and targeted agent the Hi-Tech genetic laboratories can also pin point which hormonal and supplemental agents will be most effective and work hand-in-hand with the low dose chemotherapy treatments to produce lasting remissions and hopefully cures.
